I absolutely love this knitting loom. It quickly became my new favorite hobby, and I was surprised by how much fun I had getting started. If making a chunky blanket has appealed to you but traditional knitting feels intimidating, this is a different way to try it.
I used a few YouTube tutorials to get started, and it was so simple. My project is still in progress, so this review is about assembling the loom, learning to use it, and enjoying the process—not a claim about how a finished blanket holds up over time.
What is this loom?
This is the wangyanxi77 Chunky Blanket Loom, a modular wooden knitting frame listed as a 46-inch kit. The product listing describes four adjustable sections for projects from 12 to 46 inches wide. What I liked in practice was being able to adjust the size depending on what I wanted to make.
The photos here show my pale-pink and dusty-purple blanket taking shape on the loom. It’s very much a real project on our dining table.

Assembly took me about five minutes
The frame felt sturdy and well made right away. Putting it together was surprisingly easy: about five minutes, and I was ready to get started.
I also like the modular design. Being able to change the size gives the frame more flexibility than something made for just one project width.

A few tutorials made it click
I watched a few YouTube tutorials before getting going. Seeing the process demonstrated was enough to help me get started, and I found it very simple to learn.
That’s one of the reasons I’m so enthusiastic about it. I didn’t have to get past a huge learning hurdle before I could enjoy making something. The process has been fun and relaxing, and I keep wanting to come back to it.
A few YouTube tutorials, and I was off. This quickly became my favorite hobby.
Who I think would enjoy it
I’d consider it for someone who wants to try chunky blanket making or is looking for a relaxing new craft. You don’t need to be an experienced knitter to enjoy the kind of start I had with it.
I also think it could be a wonderful creative activity for older children interested in learning a new craft. That’s my impression of its approachability; I’m not saying I tested it with children.

Is it worth the money?
For me, the quality of the wooden frame and how much use I can get from it make this a fantastic value. I’d also consider it as a creative gift for someone who wants to try a new hobby.
I haven’t identified a major frustration in my experience so far. The useful thing to know is that I did use outside video tutorials to learn, and this review is based on an ongoing project. I’m not reviewing the durability or washing performance of a finished blanket.
my honest take
I’m happy to keep making.
This loom has been sturdy, easy to assemble, fun, and relaxing to use. A little help from YouTube made getting started straightforward, and the adjustable design gives me options for what to make next.
If you’ve wanted to try making a chunky blanket, this is a kit I’m happy to recommend based on my own experience.
